William Kentridge

For the latest episode of “Under the Influence,” Artforum speaks with artist William Kentridge. In this video, he considers the influence that Marxism and theater have had on his practice and expresses his admiration for painters such as Francisco Goya, Édouard Manet, and Philip Guston. Kentridge has solo exhibitions currently on view at Goodman Gallery in Johannesburg; Museo Picasso in Málaga, Spain; and Fundació Sorigué in Lleida, Spain.
